LEGALIZATION (APOSTILLE) SERVICE
We provide a fast and reliable Apostille service for clients across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Surrey, ensuring your documents are officially certified for international use.
Official UK Government Authentication for Your Documents
For a UK-issued document to be accepted as legally valid in another country, it often requires more than just notarisation. Legalisation, most commonly through a certificate known as an Apostille, is the official process of authenticating the document for international use.
At Karen Aujla Notary Public Limited, we provide a comprehensive legalisation service, managing the entire process with the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) on your behalf. We ensure your documents are correctly processed to gain full legal recognition abroad, saving you time and preventing potential rejections.
What is an Apostille and Why is it Required?
An Apostille is a certificate issued by the FCDO. It is physically attached to the notarised document, and it officially verifies that the signature, seal, or stamp of the UK Notary Public is genuine.
This process is a requirement for all countries that are members of the Hague Apostille Convention of 1961.
The Apostille streamlines the acceptance of public documents between member nations, making it a crucial step for international business, property transactions, and personal affairs. Without it, your notarised document may be considered invalid in the destination country.
SERVICE OPTIONS
Our Apostille Service Options
We understand that our clients have different needs when it comes to urgency and budget. That is why we offer two distinct service levels for FCDO legalisation.
01
Standard Apostille Service
Our standard service is a reliable and cost-effective solution for when time is not the most critical factor. We handle the entire submission process, and documents are typically returned with an Apostille within several business days.
02
Express Apostille Service
For urgent transactions that cannot wait, we offer a premium Express Apostille Service. This service provides a significantly faster turnaround, ensuring your documents are legalised and returned as quickly as possible. This is the ideal choice for meeting tight deadlines.
The Legalisation Process: How We Handle Everything
Our firm manages the entire procedure to provide a seamless, hands-off experience for you.
STEP 1
Document Assessment and Quotation
You provide us with the document(s) requiring legalisation. We assess the requirements, confirm the correct procedure, and provide a clear, fixed-fee quote for our services.
STEP 2
Notarisation (If Required)
Most documents must be notarised before they can be legalised. If this has not yet been done, we will complete this crucial first step. You can learn more on our Notarisation Services page.
STEP 3
FCDO Submission
We securely dispatch your notarised document to the FCDO for the Apostille to be affixed, managing all paperwork and compliance.
STEP 4
Document Return
Once the FCDO has issued the Apostille, we receive the completed document and arrange for its secure return to you or onward delivery.
